- Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can, go with your instincts, even if you feel silly.
- If robbed, DO NOT HAND OVER ITEMS. toss them away from you....RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
- If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car; Kick out the back taillights and stick your arm out te hole and start waving like crazy.
- Don't do stuff in your car after shopping, eating, working, etc. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE THE DOORS, LEAVE.
- if the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! You have 96% chance of him missing. RUN!

“If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalm 139:8-10
Purple Dawn, Sparks Lake, Oregon, 1994 ~ Ric Ergenbright Photography (Used with permission)
The mirror-like waters of Sparks Lake, in the Cascades of Central Oregon, reflect a gold and purple sunrise alpenglow over the summit of South Sister peak. When this was taken, there was no paved pathway to any viewpoint, and you had to climb up a short lava wall, then bushwack along a track through dense lodgepole snags to get here. And you could shoot all day long and not see another person. Imagine that... Wista VX 4x5 metal field camera, 180mm f/5.6 Schneider Apo-Symmar lens, Fuji Velvia film.
